Career Web Project Registered Nurses

Welcome
To Diana Pardi's Web Page!

The job description of a Registered Nurse seemed hard to write in a couple of sentences. A nurse has the ability to do so many different types of jobs. On collegeboard.com, I believe the description sums it up nicely.

"RN's care for the sick and injured and help people stay well. They are typically concerned with the 'whole person', providing for the physical, mental, and emotional needs of their patients."

At salary.com, anyone can look in specific areas of the country to show the average pay for nurses. Salary ranges between $38,000-$44,000 in the Gainesville, Fl. region.

The nursing feild has plenty of opportunities for job placement. Most known places are local hospitals such as Shands ( http://www.shands.org). At this web site, there are job listings to 10 different facilities around the north central Florida region. Another option is to be at local clincs and medical offices. Most of these places don't have web sites, but yellow pages have listings of most in your area. The other option is to be a traveling nurse. These types of nurses are able to go anywhere around the country to work. One of the largest companies is Intellistaff (http://intellistaff.com)
